"Did you ever know that you're my..."
Hero is an enjoyable martial arts drama that sometimes tries too hard to be different than other martial arts dramas. But the twists and turns in its plot (as well as the strong acting) does indeed raise Hero to near-Crouching Tiger status, but not quite.

Hi there... I rather liked hero and enjoyed its balletic qualities and wonderful use of colour. As you say its well acted and the set pieces are stunning. Check out some film reviews on my site if you like.. billbarkle.blogspot.com

Yeah, my wife and mother-in-law both agree (as well as I do) of Hero's outstanding use of color. We were wondering if each color in their respective scenes had some sort of significance (why did Yimou Zhang pick those particular colors anyway?).
